The staff at Hendrick Honda of Charlotte was looking for a way to capitalize on the time customers spent waiting on their cars to be serviced.
Hendrick Honda decided to install a 2-screen digital signage system in their service call waiting area. FirstComm, Inc. installed two 42" LG LCD displays in the waiting area to ensure maximum viewing coverage of the room. Each display is connected to a singular Eye Zone 1080P Digital Media Player which plays content saved on a compact flash card that is housed in the unit. Each digital signage media player comes with an auto FTP feature which allows content to be updated automatically over an internet connection.
Now, while customers wait on their cars, Hendrick Honda is able to target their products and services to customers in an innovative and entertaining fashion.
Hendrick Honda’s sales staff worked closely with FirstComm in order to maximize the effectiveness of the content Honda uses to market to customers. FirstComm was able to incorporate car videos, vendor supported advertising, photo montages and advertising copy into a fully customized and branded marketing piece for use in the Honda dealership. The staff at Hendrick chose to have content updated on a monthly basis for a period of 24 months.
