The BT's Burger Joint Project
FirstComm recently completed a project for BTs Burger Joint that truly highlights our ability to deliver a turn-key audio video and digital surveillance solution to the commercial consumer. FirstComm provided BTs with HDTV, audio, and surveillance solution on-time and on-budget for their July 2008 opening in the Rivergate Shopping Center.
BTs Burger Joint is a fast casual restaurant with an island feel and background music plays a critical role in the creation of the locations island atmosphere. FirstComms system consultants designed an audio system tailor made for this application. The main Dining area audio is provided by 6 Soundtube RS500i speakers and 2 Soundtube RS801i subwoofers. These open ceiling speakers are hung using the manufacturer provided cable.
FirstComm also integrated an audio solution for the main counter at BTs to bring background music to customers waiting to order. Three New Wave Flush Mount 6-1/2 ceiling speakers were chosen as an affordable solution for this purpose.
BTs also has an outdoor dining area that requires audio. FirstComm chose JBL 25-T Outdoor speakers to provide music to the patio area. The dining room speaker system is powered by a Crown 280 A 2-zone 80 watt 70v Amplifier. The bathroom and outdoor speakers are driven by a TOA BG-M 1060 60 watt amplifier.
BTs required a HDTV solution for their customers as well. FirstComm mounted a 50 Samsung Plasma HDTV in the main dining area using a Peerless wall mount. The signal to the HDTV is provided by DirecTV with the installation of satellite and receiver handled by FirstComm.
The final service provided by FirstComm was the design and install of a digital surveillance system for BTs. 6 Sharp Color CCD Infrared dome cameras were installed inside the restaurant. (4 in main dining area, 2 in kitchen) Also 2 infrared bullet cameras were mounted outside the restaurant to monitor the patio and backdoor areas. The cameras are connected to a 16 channel LX series DVR with a 250 GB hard drive and a CD-RW drive for easy reproduction of footage. The package comes with a 17 monitor to view the CCTV feed. This system comes standard with remote-viewing capabilities giving the owner access to the CCTV feed via an internet connection.
